My love of our planet and the people that inhabit it draws me to capture the fine details in not only major life events, but everyday living. Behind the lens, I’m blessed to document exceptional moments in my subjects’ journeys, and I work with the belief that not every lovely photo is born from a structured plan. The most poignant and revealing shots come from unexpected laughter, quick embraces, and seemingly quiet connections between people. As in life, landscape and atmosphere are also more than merely background. That which surrounds us is yet another integral character in the story, and I adore incorporating different elements to convey feel, tone, and impact.
As a socially conscious individual, I have built philanthropy into my business model. 5% of my gross income automatically goes to charity. In addition to my annual monetary donation, I also donate pro-bono and discounted services, time and products to several charities. At this time, my charity involvement is with the Pasadena PAL, Five Acres, Harambee Ministries and the PCD Foundation.
When you hire me, you are supporting a woman owned small business that believes in the good of humanity and sees the importance of fostering those things that work to make our communities better.
Though based in Los Angeles where I live with my boyfriend of 16 years and our coyote-looking dog, Moose, I have an explorer’s heart. I find myself drawn to not only seek experiences on continents half a world away, but to also discover adventure closer to home – skydiving, backpacking, hiking, and wandering open-air festivals with family and friends. I love good food, good beer, and embracing the moment. Our lives are a work of art, and each day is yet another brushstroke upon the canvas.
